As an Appway Front End/UI Engineer you will

• work closely with our Lead Front End Developer and Core Platform Engineers through numerous stages of the product development cycle
• have a knowledge of JavaScript that goes above and beyond simple form validation, hover effects, and pop-up windows
• not be afraid of the DOM and of CSS. You have a working knowledge of jQuery, Prototype, or another popular JavaScript library
• get things done while still writing clear, obvious, and maintainable code
• collaborate with user interaction designers, graphic designers and other programmers
• be capable of turning a Photoshop mockup into a living, breathing web application

For this job you require

• a master's or bachelor's degree with a major in the field of Computer Sciences or Electrical Engineering
• a sound knowledge in Java (J2EE, Servlets, JSP, etc.)
• experience in the conceptional design and implementation of modern software architectures
• experience in the dynamic generation of GUIs and documents (PDF, HTML, etc.)
• good language skills in English and German
• to be commited, team-minded and flexible
• the ability and motivation to gather and share knowledge about new themes
• some experience working on a medium or large-scale standards-based HTML and JavaScript project, either as part of a job or in your spare time
